Doylesburg United Methodist Church and Cemetery.
Doylesburg, Franklin County, Pennsylvania.
The following is from out of the book titled “Tombstone Inscriptions of Franklin Co., Pa., Vol. 8. Fannett Twp.” Printed 1988 by John Pflueger. “ Doylesburg United Methodist Church Cemetery. This cemetery is located on the west side of Pennsylvania Route Number 75, (Path Valley Road) behind and to the south of the church building, in the village of Doylesburg, Fannett Township, Franklin County, Pennsylvania.
The cemetery plot is rectangular in shape. It is approximately 297 feet long and 145 feet wide. The cemetery is enclosed on the north, west, and south sides by an iron wire fence on wooden posts. The eastern side of the cemetery is open.
The cemetery plot is bounded on the north by the church building, on the east by the church parking lot, and on the south and west sides by privately owned residential property. The cemetery is still in use and is well maintained.
The headstones are arranged in rows extending from the north to the south, along the length of the cemetery plot. Most of the headstones face the east. There are three graves marked with illegible funeral markers and at least fifty nine unmarked graves.”
