Dad,
Thoughts and anger have flooded my mind both day and night since the accident and your passing. Every day I keep asking myself why things had to turn out this way. I wish we could have more time to spend together, but I’ll cherish all the memories that I have. Thank you for taking us to church and teaching us about religion, giving us chores around the house to teach us about responsibility, letting us pick fruit with you in the orchards to teach us about money, taking us hunting, fishing, and looking for mushrooms to help us learn about the outdoors, and just for being there when we had problems and needed a shoulder to lean on. Now you are back with your parents again for whom you haven’t seen; your Dad for 58 years and your mother for 71 years.
Dad, I’m going to miss you very much and I want to let you know that I love you and to say thank you for being a great dad.
Your Son,
Lonnie
