Leo H. Doyle of Waynecastle died at 5:18 o'clock last evening at then Waynesboro Hospital, where he underwent an operation for appendicitis on Monday. He was aged 45 years and was born at Dry Run, the son of the late John and Elizabeth McElhenny Doyle. Twenty five years ago he went to Waynesboro where he was employed as a machinist until the World War. He served during the War in the 312th Field Artillery and later was transfered to Company "K", 314th Infantry, 79th Division. He was at the front at the time the Armistice was signed. After returning from France he purchased a farm near Waynesboro. He was a member of St. Andrews Catholic Church of Waynesboro and the Holy Name Society. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Brezler Doyle, and one son, Joseph Leo Doyle, at home, four brothers and one sister, Joseph and Mack Doyle of Cygnet, Ohio, William and Alonza Doyle of Dry Run, and Mrs. Harry Best of Doylesburg. The funeral will be held on Monday, with requiem high mass celebrated by Rev. Father P.I. Poist in St. Andrews Church at 9 o'clock; burial in the Catholic cemetery, Waynesboro. Friends may call at the home from 7 to 9 o'clock on Sunday evening.

Alonzo E. Doyle; Alonzo E. Doyle, retired farmer, died of a heart ailment at 8:45 am yesterday at the home of his son Dale Doyle near Dry Run. He had been ill since last November. He was born October 4, 1882 at Dry Run, a son of the late John and Elizabeth McElhenny Doyle. He was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church, Doylesburg. Surviving are his widow, Clara B. Sharpe Doyle these children Dale, Mrs. Mabel Miller, Windsor; William of Dry Run, Miss Eleanor Doyle, and Mrs. Dorothy Shearer, East Waterford, R.R.1, Miss Mary Doyle, Gettysburg, and Mrs. Gerald E. Hart, Kramer; three brothers and a sister; J. Mac Doyle and Joseph Doyle, both of Cygnet, Ohio; William S. Doyle, Dry Run, and Mrs. Harry Best, Doylesburg. Services in charge of Rev. Fr. Richard Hungerman will be held at the Doylesburg Church Monday with a requiem mass at 10 am. Burial will be in St. Marys Cemetery, that place.

Harry G. Best, 51, of Doylesburg, died at 11:35 yesterday morning at the Chambersburg Hospital, after a five week illness. He was a general merchant for 16 years. Mr. Best was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church, Doylesburg. He served overseas with Company "B", of the 316th Infantry in World War I, and was a member of McCartney Post, No. 232, American Legion of Path Valley. Born October 1, 1893, at Amberson, a son of the late John and Catherine Logan Best, Mr. Best is survived by his wife, Mrs. Judith A. Doyle Best; these sons and daughters; Pfc. Francis Best, serving in Luzon; Gerald, Harold, Elizabeth, Robert, James, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Nettie Kirkpatrick and Mrs. Jonas Nesbit, Spring Run; two brothers, William of Dry Run, and Walker of Spring Run. Requiem Mass will be held at St. Marys Church at 9:30 Saturday morning, with Rev. T.B. Johnson and Rev. Edward J. Gerrity in charge. Burial will be made in the Church Cemetery. Mrs. Alonza Doyle. Mrs. Harriet Stake Doyle, 49, of Willow Hill, died Wednesday at her home. She was the wife of Alonza Doyle. Mrs. Doyle was a member of the United Brethren Church at Shippensburg. Mrs. Clara Belle Sharpe Doyle, 67, widow of Alonza E. Doyle, died unexpectedly yesterday at 6 am at the home of her daughter Mrs. Dorothy Shearer, of East Waterford, with whom she resided. Born at Willow Hill on April 9, 1882, she was the daughter of the late Charles M. and Mary A. Flemming Sharpe. Mrs. Doyle was a member of the Upper Path Valley Presbyterian Church and the community club and pollyanna club of East Waterford. In addition to Mrs. Shearer, she is survived by two sons, Dale, of Fayetteville, and William of Enhaut; four daughters, Mrs. Mabel Miller of Windsor, Mrs. Eleanor Love of Waterloo, Mrs. Mary Rineard of Shippensburg, and Mrs. Geraldine Hart of East Waterford. Two sisters, Mrs. Eleanor Shearer of Fannettsburg, and Mrs. Myra Stewart of Dry Run; a brother, George Sharpe, of Paradise, and 11 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2:30 pm at the Upper Path Valley Presbyterian Chruch with the Rev. John A. Walker officiating, assisted by the Rev. W. D. Keemer and the Rev. William A. Brown. Burial will be made in the Path Valley Cemetery. Friends may call at the Shearer home in East Waterford on Tuesday from 7 to 9 pm.

David Henry Shearer, 80 died at 2:30 o'clock this morning at the home of his son, Fred C. Shearer, of Doylesburg, after an illness of four years. Death was attributed to a stroke. A retired farmer, Mr. Shearer was born on March 26, 1869 at Spring Run, a son of the late Amos and Margaret Hammond Shearer, and was a member of the Upper Path Valley Presbyterian Church. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Blanche Doyle Shearer; a daughter, Mrs. William J. Gury, of Spring Run; three sons, Bruce L. of East Waterford, Fred C., of Doylesburg and Bert D. of Harrisburg; two brothers, William H. Shearer, of Morgantown, Va.; John A. of Fannettsburg; a sister, Mrs. Bessie Pluebell, of Rankin, Nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren also survive. Private funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the home of Fred C. Shearer of Doylesburg, with the Rev. John A. Walker officiating. Burial will be made in the Upper Path Valley Cemetery. Friends may call at the home after 2 p.m. on Monday.

Dry Run- Mrs. Blanche Doyle Shearer, 82, of Doylesburg, died at 12:25 this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Creigh Gury, of Spring Run, with whom she had resided for the past year and a half. Mrs. Shearer had been ill for two months. Born on Feb. 8, 1870 in Doylesburg, Mrs. Shearer was a daughter of the late Henry and Elizabeth Duncan Doyle. She was a member of the Upper Path Valley Presbyterian Church, and was a widow of David H. Shearer who died in March, 1950. Surviving in addition to Mrs. Gury are three sons, Bruce R. Shearer, East Waterford; Fred C. Shearer of Doylesburg; and Bert D. Shearer, Harrisburg; nine grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; a brother William Doyle, Spring City, and four sisters, Mrs. Agnes Campbell, Mrs. Jennie Campbell and Mrs. Nettie Seibert, all of Doylesburg, and Mrs. Stella Miller, Harrisburg, R.D. 1. The Rev. John A. Walker will conduct funeral services on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Upper Path Valley Presbyterian Church, burial will be made in the Upper Path Valley Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gury home tomorrow after 3 p.m. and at the Church one hour prior to the service.

Private funeral services were held Sunday, Jan. 13, at 2 p.m. from the John L. Agett funeral home in Dry Run for Dominic M. Doyle, 79, of Doylesburg, who died Thursday, Jan. 10, at 8:30 p.m. at Franklin Farms. Mr. Doyle had been ill since he suffered a servere stroke 16 years ago. A son of the late Harry Denton and Elizabeth Duncan Doyle, he was born Dec. 12, 1872 at Doylesburg. He was a member of the Doylesburg Methodist Church and had been employed as a laborer by the Pennsylvania department of highways prior to his illness. His wife, the former Malinda Hockenberry, died in September, 1927. Mr. Doyle is survived by seven children, Wesley W. Doyle of Doylesburg; Mrs. Ollo Carr of Greencastle; Mrs. Adaline Toms of Smithburg, Md.; Mrs. Nettie Hammond and Mrs. Nina Varner of Spring Run; Mrs. Besh Gipe of Waynesboro and Mrs. Louise Walters of Chambersburg. Other survivors include one brother, William Doyle of Spring City; five sisters, Mrs. Blanche Shearer of Spring Run; Mrs. Agnes Campbell, Mrs. Jennie Campbell and Mrs. Nettie Seibert of Doylesburg, and Mrs. Stella Miller of Harrisburg, as well as 20 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. The Rev. Grantas E. Hooper of Doylesburg officiated at the Sunday services. Burial was in the Doylesburg Cemetery.

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Doyle, 75, of Shippensburg died at 1:30 o'clock yesterday morning at the Carisle hospital after a brief illness. She was the widow of Basel James Doyle. Mrs. Doyle a member of the Spring Run Evangelical United Brethern Church, was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Coons of Dry Run. She is survived by a son, John Franklin Doyle, Shippensburg, R.R. four daughters: Mrs. Clarence Nenninger, Shippensburg, R.R.; Mrs. Myron Naugle and Mrs. Bruce Watson, Shippensburg, and Mrs. Judith Hocker, Newville; a stepson Alonzo Doyle, Willow Hill, and a stepdaughter, Mrs. Annie Boggs. Orrstown, R.R., Also surviving are 24 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, four brothers and four sisters. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the J. Lester David Doyle, 52, of 257 Bridge St., Spring City, Pa., died yesterday morning in Pottstown Hospital where he was a patient for a week. Mr. Doyle was born in Franklin County and was the son of William and the late Sara Skinner Doyle. For the past 35 years he had been employed by the Royersford Spring Company. For many years he had been foreman of the wood shop, a post he held at the time of his death. Recently he was awarded a watch as a token of esteem and for his long service record for the company. He is survived by his wife, Thelma Miller Doyle; his father William B. Doyle, who resides at the same address, and a sister Mrs. Eva Doyle Anderson of Evansburg. Funeral services will be held at 2, Tuesday afternoon from the Nelson Funeral Home, 331 New St., Spring City. Interment will be in Brownsback Cemetery, Ridge Pike. The Rev. Gerald O'Donnell, pastor of Harmonyville Brethern Church will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9, Monday evening.

Mrs. Clara Agnes Nenninger, 45, wife of Clarence Lester Nenninger, Shippensburg, R.R. 1, died at 10:30 last night at her home. She had been in ill health for 13 years. Mrs. Nenninger was born at Willow Hill, Feb. 11, 1909, a daughter of the late Adam James and Mary Elizabeth Coons Doyle. She held membership in the Ridge Church of the Brethren, north of Shippensburg. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Nenninger is survived by four sons and two daughters: George Lester, R.R. 1, May Elizabeth, Harry Clever, Rosemary Grace, Clarence Albert, all at home, and William Alonza, of Shippensburg, a brother and three sisters, John Franklin Doyle, R.R. 2, Mrs. Myron M. Naugle and Mrs. Bruce Harry Watson, both of Shippensburg, Mrs. Albert C. Hocker, Newville, a half brother and half sister, Alonza Doyle, Willow Hill, and Mrs. Albert Boggs, Orrstown, R.R. 1. Cygnet- Ill. 18 months, Mrs. John M. Doyle (Mary Josephine Foose), 72, died at 3:30 am today at her home in Cygnet.She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Cygnet, and its Altar Society and a Cygnet resident for 39 years. Friends may call at the Rippeth Funeral Home, North Baltimore, where Rosary will be said at 8 pm Sunday. The funeral will be at 10 am Monday in Sacred Heart Church and Burial will be in Jerry City Cemetery. Mrs. Doyle was born July 8, 1882, at Doylesburg, Pa., the daughter of Enoch and Rebecca Foose. On August 21, 1892, she was married to Mr. Doyle, who survives. William Sylvester Doyle, 69, of Dry Run, died last evening at 6:15 o'clock at his home after an illness of 15 months. Born on October 8, 1887, in Doylesburg, he was the son of the late John and Elizabeth Doyle. He was a member of the Upper Path Valley Presbyterian church, Spring Run, the mens Bible class and the mens brotherhood of the Church. He had been engaged in farming. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Margaret Skinner Doyle; a son, Richard S. Doyle, Dry Run; two granddaughters, two brothers, Mac Doyle and Joseph Doyle, both of Cygnet, Ohio; a sister, Mrs. Judith Best, Doylesburg, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in the Upper Path Valley Presbyterian Church, Spring Run, with the Rev. John A. Walker officiating; burial in the Upper Path Valley Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the John L. Agett, Dry Run, Funeral Home on Saturday evening. The body will lie in state at the Church one hour before the service on Sunday.

Born June 21, 1881, at Doylesburg, she was a daughter of the late Henry D. and Elizabeth Duncan Doyle. She was a widow of William B. Seibert, who died in 1922. She was a member of the Doylesburg Methodist Church, the Ladies Bible Class and the WSCS of the Church. Surviving are four sons and a daughter, J. Frank Seibert, Shippensburg; Thomas J., of Fannettsburg; Lester H., of Newport. Mrs. Dorothy Briggs, Dry Run, and William D., of 1380 Lincoln Way East; 14 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Jennie Campbell, Doylesburg; Mrs. Agnes Campbell, Doylesburg, and Stella Miller, Linglestown; a number of nephews and nieces. Mrs. F.J. Campbell- Mrs. Jennie Doyle Campbell, 81 of Doylesburg, died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 1959, at 11:15 p.m. in the Chambersburg Hospital 10 minutes after her admission. She had had a heart condition since June. Born October 17, 1878, in Doylesburg, the daughter of the late Henry and Elizabeth Duncan Doyle, she had been a resident of that community her entire life. She was a member of the Doylesburg Methodist Church; W.S.C.S., and the Ladies Bible Class of the church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick J. Campbell, July 1, 1947. Surviving are eleven sons and daughters: Rush, of Doylesburg; Mrs. Mary Felmlee, Doylesburg; Thomas, of Dry Run; Mrs. Elizabeth Miller, Concord; Wendell, of Spring Run; Frederick H., of Doylesburg; Mrs. Helen Goshorn, Doylesburg; Mrs. Mildred Hammond, Spring Run; Mrs. Louise Skinner, Hershey; Mrs. Betty Robinson, Neelyton; Mrs. Maxine Morton, St. Thomas; two sisters: Mrs. Agnes Campbell, Doylesburg, and Mrs. Stella Miller, Harrisburg; a number of nieces and nephews; 32 grandchildren and ten great-grandchidren.

John M. Doyle; The death of John Mac Doyle, 81, of Cygnet who was found dead at 5:30 am Thursday on the Cygnet Rd. between Cygnet and U.S. Rt. 25 was due to natural causes, Dr. H.W. Mannhardt, coroner, said Mr. Doyle suffered a heart attack. Mr. Doyle, a retired Buckeye Pipeline Co. employee was born May 16, 1879 in Doylestown, Pa. and moved to Cygnet about 40 years ago. He married Mary Josephine Foose in 1901, and she died in 1955. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cygnet and its Holy Name Society. Survivors include five daughters: Mrs. Louis Conrad of Toledo, Mrs. Judith Hobbs of Hartville, Mrs. Harry Pheiffer of Custar, and Mrs. C.J. Vallely and Mrs. Kenneth V. Lewis, both of Santa Monica, Calif. Two sons John T. of Ypsilanti, Mich., and Leo J. of Baton Rouge, La. A brother Joe of Cygnet, a sister, Mrs. Judith Best of Doylestown. 17 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Friends may call at the Rippeth Funeral home in North Baltimore, where the Rosary will be recited at 8 pm today. The funeral will be held at the church at 10:30 am Saturday with the Rev. Mrs. Elizabeth Barnhart, 81, of Dry Run, died at 7 a.m. yesterday at her home after an illness of three weeks. She was born Aug. 4, 1880 at Dry Run, the daughter of the late William Anthony and Margaret Goshorn Doyle. Mrs. Barnhart was also a member of the Womans Christian Temperance Union. Surviving are her husband J. Howard Barnhart; two daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Long, Bedford, and Miss Viola M. Barnhart, Dry Run; a sister, Mrs. Annie Grove, Pittsburgh; and two brothers, William Doyle, R.R. Bellwood, and Pearl J. Doyle, Fannettsburg, a number of nephews and nieces also survive. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the John L. Agett funeral home, Dry Run, in charge of the Rev. Charles W. Best, her pastor. J. Howard Barnhart, 87, of Dry Run, died Tuesday morning at the Chambersburg Hospital, following surgery for the repair of a fractured hip suffered in a fall at his home. Born June 12, 1875 at Dry Run, he was the son of the late Montgomery and Drucilla Shoop Barnhart. His wife, the late Mrs. Elizabeth Doyle Barnhart preceded him in death on May 13. He was a retired pipeline walker for the Crescent Pipeline Co., Pittsburgh. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Long, Bedford, and Miss Viola M. Barnhart Dry Run, who is employed by the Quincy school district as a teacher at the Fairview school. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the John L. Agett funeral home, Dry Run, with the Rev. Charles Best officiating. Dr. John P. Manges, Franklin County Coroner, has issued a certificate of suicide in the death of Mrs. Adeline M. Toms, 57, of the Airport Road, Rouzerville. Mrs. Toms was found dead at 6:30 a.m. in the yard of her home by her husband, Claude T. Toms. Born April 4, 1907 in Doylesburg, Fannett Township, Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Dominic and Melinda Hockenberry Doyle. Mrs. Toms came to Waynesboro when she was 14 years old. Soon after her marriage, she and her husband moved to Rouzerville, where they made their home at their present address for 15 years. She had been employed a number of years by Fairchild Corporation, Hagerstown, Maryland, and was later employed for a short time by Wayne Sportwear, Waynesboro. Surviving in addition to her husband are a brother: Wesley Doyle of Doylesburg; 5 sisters: Mrs. Ola Carr and Mrs. William Walters both of Amberson, and Mrs. Nettie Hammond of Spring Run. Private graveside funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Bethel Cemetery, Lantz, Maryland with the Rev. C.W. McGaha officiating. There will be no viewing. It has been requested that flowers be omitted. Arrangements are in charge of the Grove Funeral Home in Waynesboro.

Born on Nov. 28, 1909 at Willow Hill, he was a son of the late Alonza and Clara Sharp Doyle. He was a member of the Paxton Presbyterian Church, Harrisburg, and the United Steet Workers of America, Local 3521. He had been employed by the Bethlehem Steel Co. for the past 27 years. In addition to his wife, Mrs. Mary Smith Doyle, he is survived by two sons, Roger William and Robin Rine Doyle, both at home, a brother, Dale Doyle, of 708 High St., Chambersburg; five sisters, Mrs. Mabel Miller, of Windber, Mrs. Eleanor Love, Mrs. Dorothy Shearer and Mrs. Geraldine Hart, of East Waterford, and Mrs. Mary Rineard, of Shippensburg, and a number of nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Lower Path Valley Presbyterian Church in Fannettsburg, and the Ladies Aid Society of the Church. Surviving are her husband, Pearl J. Hugh H. Hart, 47, Civic Leader. East Waterford- Hugh H. Hart, 47, local postmaster and prominent in the civic and reglious life of this community, died Thursday at his home in East Waterford Rd 1, Juniata County. A past president of the Pennsylvania branch of the National League of Postmasters, he received the “Postmaster of the Year” award in 1963. Mr. Hart had served as Lack Twp. school director, and was a past president of the Lack-Tuscarora Parent-Teachers Association. A longtime member and elder of the East Waterford United Presbyterian Church, he had served as trustee there, superintendent of the Sunday school, and teacher of the men’s Bible class. Mr. Hart was president of the East Waterford Comunity Industrial Corp. He was secretary and past president of the Blairs Mills Lions Club, master of Dorsett Grange No. 1888 of Concord, member of Pomona Grange No. 35, and the Pennsylvania State Grange and the National Grange. He also was a member of American Legion Post 298, Mifflintown, acting treasurer and former trustee of the East Waterford Fire Co., member of the Juniata Saddle Horse Association, the Cross Keys Conservation Club, Juniata Joint Band Boosters, and the Black Hills Gun Club of East Waterford. He also served on the board of directors of the Mifflin-Juniata United Fund and the Juniata County Friends of the Library. Mr. Hart had served with an Army Airborne Division in the Pacific Theater during World War II. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Geraldine Doyle Hart; three sons, Ronald D. of East Waterford, Billy Lee of Harrisburg, and Hugh H. Hart Jr., at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Hart of East Waterford RD1; two sisters, Mrs. George Varner of East Waterford RD 2, and Mrs. Brooks Thatcher of Spring Run; a brother, Vernon R. He was born Oct. 1, 1876, at Doylesburg, a son of Anthony and Margaret (Goshorn) Doyle, and on March 12, 1906, married Ina K. Riggle, who died in 1954. Surviving are three children, William H., Wayne A., and Mrs. Helen Snyder of Antis; three grandchildren, and a brother, P.J. of Fannettsburg. Mr. Doyle was a member of the Riggles Gap Bible Church. In earlier years, he had operated a saw mill and threshing rig. Interment was made today.

Joseph Doyle Succumbs at 86. Joseph M. Doyle, 86, a former member of Village Council and the Cygnet Board of Education, died Wednesday in Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay, where he had been a patient three days. A native of Doylesburg, Pa., he was born Dec. 18, 1883 to Mr. and Mrs. John Doyle (Elizabeth McElhenny). He had lived in Cygnet since 1905. He married Mary Curtin in 1910 and she survives. Also surviving are five daughters, Mrs. James (Helen) Cooksey, Maumee; Mrs. M.A. (Maxine) Powers, Fort Smith, Ark.; Mrs. Robert (Joann) Heskett, Toledo; Mrs. George (Patricia) Foreman, Lima; and Miss Rosemary Doyle, Cygnet; one sister, Mrs. Judith Best, Doylesburg, Pa., and 12 grandchildren. Mr. Doyle had been a school board member for about 20 terms and had served several terms on the council. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Findlay and the Holy Rosary Society of the Sacred Heart Church in Cygnet. The funeral was held Saturday in the Church. Rev. Rudolph Wieszezek officiated. Burial was in New Maplewood Cemetery. The Rippeth Funeral Home, North Baltimore was in charge of arrangements.

Leo H. Doyle of Waynecastle died at 5:18 o'clock last evening at then Waynesboro Hospital, where he underwent an operation for appendicitis on Monday. He was aged 45 years and was born at Dry Run, the son of the late John and Elizabeth McElhenny Doyle. Twenty five years ago he went to Waynesboro where he was employed as a machinist until the World War. He served during the War in the 312th Field Artillery and later was transfered to Company "K", 314th Infantry, 79th Division. He was at the front at the time the Armistice was signed. After returning from France he purchased a farm near Waynesboro. He was a member of St. Andrews Catholic Church of Waynesboro and the Holy Name Society. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Brezler Doyle, and one son, Joseph Leo Doyle, at home, four brothers and one sister, Joseph and Mack Doyle of Cygnet, Ohio, William and Alonza Doyle of Dry Run, and Mrs. Harry Best of Doylesburg. The funeral will be held on Monday, with requiem high mass celebrated by Rev. Father P.I. Poist in St. Andrews Church at 9 o'clock; burial in the Catholic cemetery, Waynesboro. David Henry Shearer, 80 died at 2:30 o'clock this morning at the home of his son, Fred C. Shearer, of Doylesburg, after an illness of four years. Death was attributed to a stroke. A retired farmer, Mr. Shearer was born on March 26, 1869 at Spring Run, a son of the late Amos and Margaret Hammond Shearer, and was a member of the Upper Path Valley Presbyterian Church. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Blanche Doyle Shearer; a daughter, Mrs. William J. Gury, of Spring Run; three sons, Bruce L. of East Waterford, Fred C., of Doylesburg and Bert D. of Harrisburg; two brothers, William H. Shearer, of Morgantown, Va.; John A. of Fannettsburg; a sister, Mrs. Bessie Pluebell, of Rankin, Nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren also survive. Dry Run- Mrs. Blanche Doyle Shearer, 82, of Doylesburg, died at 12:25 this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Creigh Gury, of Spring Run, with whom she had resided for the past year and a half. Mrs. Shearer had been ill for two months. Born on Feb. 8, 1870 in Doylesburg, Mrs. Shearer was a daughter of the late Henry and Elizabeth Duncan Doyle. She was a member of the Upper Path Valley Presbyterian Church, and was a widow of David H. Shearer who died in March, 1950. Surviving in addition to Mrs. Gury are three sons, Bruce R. Shearer, East Waterford; Fred C. Shearer of Doylesburg; and Bert D. Shearer, Harrisburg; nine grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; a brother William Doyle, Spring City, and four sisters, Mrs. Agnes Campbell, Mrs. Jennie Campbell and Mrs. Nettie Seibert, all of Doylesburg, and Mrs. Stella Miller, Harrisburg, R.D. 1. Private funeral services were held Sunday, Jan. 13, at 2 p.m. from the John L. Agett funeral home in Dry Run for Dominic M. Doyle, 79, of Doylesburg, who died Thursday, Jan. 10, at 8:30 p.m. at Franklin Farms. Mr. Doyle had been ill since he suffered a servere stroke 16 years ago. A son of the late Harry Denton and Elizabeth Duncan Doyle, he was born Dec. 12, 1872 at Doylesburg. He was a member of the Doylesburg Methodist Church and had been employed as a laborer by the Pennsylvania department of highways prior to his illness. His wife, the former Malinda Hockenberry, died in September, 1927. Mr. Doyle is survived by seven children, Wesley W. Doyle of Doylesburg; Mrs. Ollo Carr of Greencastle; Mrs. Adaline Toms of Smithburg, Md.; Mrs. Nettie Hammond and Mrs. Nina Varner of Spring Run; Mrs. Besh Gipe of Waynesboro and Mrs. Louise Walters of Chambersburg. Other survivors include one brother, William Doyle of Spring City; five sisters, Mrs. Blanche Shearer of Spring Run; Mrs. Agnes Campbell, Mrs. Jennie Campbell and Mrs. Nettie Seibert of Doylesburg, and Mrs. Stella Miller of Harrisburg, as well as 20 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Doyle, 75, of Shippensburg died at 1:30 o'clock yesterday morning at the Carisle hospital after a brief illness. She was the widow of Basel James Doyle. Mrs. Doyle a member of the Spring Run Evangelical United Brethern Church, was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Coons of Dry Run. She is survived by a son, John Franklin Doyle, Shippensburg, R.R. four daughters: Mrs. Clarence Nenninger, Shippensburg, R.R.; Mrs. Myron Naugle and Mrs. Bruce Watson, Shippensburg, and Mrs. Judith Hocker, Newville; a stepson Alonzo Doyle, Willow Hill, and a stepdaughter, Mrs. Annie Boggs. Lester David Doyle, 52, of 257 Bridge St., Spring City, Pa., died yesterday morning in Pottstown Hospital where he was a patient for a week. Mr. Doyle was born in Franklin County and was the son of William and the late Sara Skinner Doyle. For the past 35 years he had been employed by the Royersford Spring Company. For many years he had been foreman of the wood shop, a post he held at the time of his death. Recently he was awarded a watch as a token of esteem and for his long service record for the company. He is survived by his wife, Thelma Miller Doyle; his father William B. Doyle, who resides at the same address, and a sister Mrs. Eva Doyle Anderson of Evansburg. Funeral services will be held at 2, Tuesday afternoon from the Nelson Funeral Home, 331 New St., Spring City. Interment will be in Brownsback Cemetery, Ridge Pike. The Rev. Mrs. Clara Agnes Nenninger, 45, wife of Clarence Lester Nenninger, Shippensburg, R.R. 1, died at 10:30 last night at her home. She had been in ill health for 13 years. Mrs. Nenninger was born at Willow Hill, Feb. 11, 1909, a daughter of the late Adam James and Mary Elizabeth Coons Doyle. She held membership in the Ridge Church of the Brethren, north of Shippensburg. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Nenninger is survived by four sons and two daughters: George Lester, R.R. 1, May Elizabeth, Harry Clever, Rosemary Grace, Clarence Albert, all at home, and William Alonza, of Shippensburg, a brother and three sisters, John Franklin Doyle, R.R. 2, Mrs. Myron M. Doyle (Mary Josephine Foose), 72, died at 3:30 am today at her home in Cygnet.She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Cygnet, and its Altar Society and a Cygnet resident for 39 years. She had had a heart condition since June. Born October 17, 1878, in Doylesburg, the daughter of the late Henry and Elizabeth Duncan Doyle, she had been a resident of that community her entire life. She was a member of the Doylesburg Methodist Church; W.S.C.S., and the Ladies Bible Class of the church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick J. Campbell, July 1, 1947. John M. Doyle; The death of John Mac Doyle, 81, of Cygnet who was found dead at 5:30 am Thursday on the Cygnet Rd. between Cygnet and U.S. Rt. 25 was due to natural causes, Dr. H.W. Mannhardt, coroner, said Mr. Doyle suffered a heart attack. Mr. Doyle, a retired Buckeye Pipeline Co. employee was born May 16, 1879 in Doylestown, Pa. and moved to Cygnet about 40 years ago. He married Mary Josephine Foose in 1901, and she died in 1955. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cygnet and its Holy Name Society. Survivors include five daughters: Mrs. Louis Conrad of Toledo, Mrs. Judith Hobbs of Hartville, Mrs. Harry Pheiffer of Custar, and Mrs. C.J. Vallely and Mrs. Kenneth V. Lewis, both of Santa Monica, Calif. Two sons John T. of Ypsilanti, Mich., and Leo J. of Baton Rouge, La. A brother Joe of Cygnet, a sister, Mrs. Judith Best of Doylestown. 17 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. J. Howard Barnhart, 87, of Dry Run, died Tuesday morning at the Chambersburg Hospital, following surgery for the repair of a fractured hip suffered in a fall at his home. Born June 12, 1875 at Dry Run, he was the son of the late Montgomery and Drucilla Shoop Barnhart. His wife, the late Mrs. Elizabeth Doyle Barnhart preceded him in death on May 13. He was a retired pipeline walker for the Crescent Pipeline Co., Pittsburgh. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Long, Bedford, and Miss Viola M. Barnhart Dry Run, who is employed by the Quincy school district as a teacher at the Fairview school. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the John L. Agett funeral home, Dry Run, with the Rev. Charles Best officiating. Dr. John P. Manges, Franklin County Coroner, has issued a certificate of suicide in the death of Mrs. Adeline M. Toms, 57, of the Airport Road, Rouzerville. Mrs. Toms was found dead at 6:30 a.m. in the yard of her home by her husband, Claude T. Toms. Born April 4, 1907 in Doylesburg, Fannett Township, Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Dominic and Melinda Hockenberry Doyle. Mrs. Toms came to Waynesboro when she was 14 years old. Soon after her marriage, she and her husband moved to Rouzerville, where they made their home at their present address for 15 years. She had been employed a number of years by Fairchild Corporation, Hagerstown, Maryland, and was later employed for a short time by Wayne Sportwear, Waynesboro. Surviving in addition to her husband are a brother: Wesley Doyle of Doylesburg; 5 sisters: Mrs. Ola Carr and Mrs. William Walters both of Amberson, and Mrs. Nettie Hammond of Spring Run. Private graveside funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Bethel Cemetery, Lantz, Maryland with the Rev. C.W. McGaha officiating. There will be no viewing. Mrs. Hilda M. Doyle of 1020 Lexington Ave., died at 11:35 p.m. yesterday at Garvey Manor after an extended illness. She was born in Orbisonia on July 23, 1887, a daughter of Henry A. and Regina (McGarvey) Starr and married Herbert Doyle. Surviving are her husband and two daughters, Misses Orene and Ruth M., at the home; two brothers and a sister, E. Leo of the city, Miss Esther of Upper Darby and Herbert A. of Pittsburgh. She was a member of the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament and the Altar and Rosary Society. Friends will be received in the Stevens Mortuary after 7 p.m. today.

Mrs. Olie Vernal Carr, 64, of Mount Vernon Terrace, died today at Franklin Farms, where she had been a guest since March, 1964. She had been in failing health for five years. Born on Nov. 18, 1900, in Doylesburg, she was a daughter of the late Dominic and Melinda Hockenberry Doyle. Since, 1918, she lived in Waynesboro. She was employed at Mount Vernon Terrace until three years ago, when she was forced to retire because of her health. Surviving, in addition to her husband, Miles H. Carr, are eight children: Mrs. Violet Toms, Rouzerville; Mrs. Dean Gift, Waynesboro; Harold Carr, of Waynesboro; Mrs. Charles Gunder, of R.R.1; Henry Carr, of R.R. 6 Chambersburg; Leroy Carr, of Marion; Donald Carr and Claude Carr, both of Chambersburg; 33 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; four sisters: Mrs. Lester Hammond and Mrs. Miles Varner, both of Spring Run; Mrs. William J. Gipe of Waynesboro; and Mrs. William Walter, of Chambersburg; and one brother, Weston Doyle, of Doylesburg. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Grove Funeral Home, in charge of the Rev. George Hatchner. Burial will be made in Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Grove Funeral home Thursday evening from 7 to 9.

Herbert L. Doyle of 1020 Lexington Avenue, Altoona, died at 11:43 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 14, 1966, at Garvey Manor, Altoona, after a months illness. He was born at Petersburg on Nov. 20, 1884, a son of John and Catherine (Cook) Doyle, and married Hilda M. Starr, who died on July 7, 1965. Surviving are two daughters, Misses Irene and Ruth M. at the home, a brother and three sisters, Charles S. of St. Petersburg, Fla., Mr. Mary A. Snyder of Altoona, Mrs. Eulalia Stewart of Miami, Fla., and Mrs. Margaret O’Donnell of Los Angeles, Calif. He was a member of the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, the Holy Name, Altar and Rosary Societies and Golden Age Club, had serves as an usher for a number of years, and retired as a pipefitter from the Altoona Works in 1952 after 49 years of service.

Leymone- Daniel B. Doyle, 71, of 829 Bosler Ave., died yesterday in a local hospital. He was a former Valley Transportation Co. employee and a member of the Valley Veterans Association. He also was a member of Calvary Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary E. Doyle; a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Hummel, Camp Hill; four sons, Clair, Tulsa, Okla., Wayne, of New Cumberland, John, of Leymone, and, Robert, of Decatur, and two sisters, Mrs. Stetler, and Mrs. Emma Lupold, of Fayetteville; 16 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Funeral Home at 324 Hummel Ave., with Rev. Russell C. Oyer, his pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Rolling Green Cemetery. He had been in ill health for 10 years. Born May 7, 1897 in Perry County, he was a son of the late Dominic and Melinda Hockenberry Doyle. He was a member of the Doylesburg Methodist Church, and was a retired employee of the New Enterprise Stone and Lime Co., Dry Run Plant. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Lodemma Freet Doyle; a son William Doyle, Norristown; four sisters, Mrs. Nettie Hammond, Spring Run; Mrs. Nina Varner, Spring Run; Mrs. Besh Gipe, Waynesboro; and Mrs. Louise Walters, 363 E. Catherine Street., and a number of nieces and nephews. Private funeral services will be held on Sunday at 3 p.m. at the John L. Agett funeral home, Dry Run, with the Rev. Rodney Richesson officiating. Burial will be made in Doylesburg Cemetery. It has been requested that flowers be omitted. Friends may call Saturday evening at the funeral home.

Hugh H. Hart, 47, Civic Leader. East Waterford- Hugh H. Hart, 47, local postmaster and prominent in the civic and reglious life of this community, died Thursday at his home in East Waterford Rd 1, Juniata County. A past president of the Pennsylvania branch of the National League of Postmasters, he received the “Postmaster of the Year” award in 1963. Mr. Hart had served as Lack Twp. school director, and was a past president of the Lack-Tuscarora Parent-Teachers Association. A longtime member and elder of the East Waterford United Presbyterian Church, he had served as trustee there, superintendent of the Sunday school, and teacher of the men’s Bible class. Mr. Hart was president of the East Waterford Comunity Industrial Corp. He was secretary and past president of the Blairs Mills Lions Club, master of Dorsett Grange No. 1888 of Concord, member of Pomona Grange No. 35, and the Pennsylvania State Grange and the National Grange. He also was a member of American Legion Post 298, Mifflintown, acting treasurer and former trustee of the East Waterford Fire Co., member of the Juniata Saddle Horse Association, the Cross Keys Conservation Club, Juniata Joint Band Boosters, and the Black Hills Gun Club of East Waterford. He also served on the board of directors of the Mifflin-Juniata United Fund and the Juniata County Friends of the Library. Mr. Hart had served with an Army Airborne Division in the Pacific Theater during World War II. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Geraldine Doyle Hart; three sons, Ronald D. of East Waterford, Billy Lee of Harrisburg, and Hugh H. Hart Jr., at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Hart of East Waterford RD1; two sisters, Mrs. George Varner of East Waterford RD 2, and Mrs. Brooks Thatcher of Spring Run; a brother, Vernon R. Hart of Spring Run; and a grandson. Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at East Waterford United Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. William Baker Herd, his pastor, officiating, with the Rev. Harry L. Ferguson Jr. assisting. Burial will be in East Waterford Cemetery where military rites will be conducted. Friends may call today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home at Honey Grove and at the church Saturday between noon and the time of services. Grange services will be held Friday at 9 p.m.

William M. Doyle. Of Antis, Altoona RD 1, Box 702C, died at 10:40 p.m. Saturday, April 18, 1970, in the home of a son, Wayne A., with whom he resided. He was born Oct. 1, 1876, at Doylesburg, a son of Anthony and Margaret (Goshorn) Doyle, and on March 12, 1906, married Ina K. Riggle, who died in 1954. Surviving are three children, William H., Wayne A., and Mrs. Helen Snyder of Antis; three grandchildren, and a brother, P.J. of Fannettsburg. Mr. Doyle was a member of the Riggles Gap Bible Church. In earlier years, he had operated a saw mill and threshing rig. Interment was made today.

Joseph Doyle Succumbs at 86. Joseph M. Doyle, 86, a former member of Village Council and the Cygnet Board of Education, died Wednesday in Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay, where he had been a patient three days. A native of Doylesburg, Pa., he was born Dec. 18, 1883 to Mr. and Mrs. John Doyle (Elizabeth McElhenny). He had lived in Cygnet since 1905. He married Mary Curtin in 1910 and she survives. Also surviving are five daughters, Mrs. James (Helen) Cooksey, Maumee; Mrs. M.A. (Maxine) Powers, Fort Smith, Ark.; Mrs. Robert (Joann) Heskett, Toledo; Mrs. George (Patricia) Foreman, Lima; and Miss Rosemary Doyle, Cygnet; one sister, Mrs. Judith Best, Doylesburg, Pa., and 12 grandchildren. Mr. Doyle had been a school board member for about 20 terms and had served several terms on the council. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Findlay and the Holy Rosary Society of the Sacred Heart Church in Cygnet. The funeral was held Saturday in the Church. Rev. Rudolph Wieszezek officiated. Burial was in New Maplewood Cemetery. The Rippeth Funeral Home, North Baltimore was in charge of arrangements.
